ARISTA NASHVILLE/SEAGAYLE artist JERROD NIEMANN has won the BACK SEAT BUCKERS (BSB) grand prize. In JANUARY, NIEMANN became a BSB CELEBRITY STOCK CONTRACTOR and named his selected bull HIGH NOON in honor of his album of the same name. While the "High Noon" album has been a major success in its own right, HIGH NOON the bull has now captured the 2014 BACK SEAT BUCKERS grand prize of $100,000 in prize money at the THOMAS AND MACK CENTER in LAS VEGAS.
NIEMANN has elected to donate the grand prize winnings to his nonprofit FREE THE MUSIC USA, the same charity he and his new bride MORGAN asked wedding guests to donate to in lieu of wedding gifts (NET NEWS 09/19).
"I'm still smiling thinking about the amazing news," stated NIEMANN. "When teaming up with my friends at BACK SEAT BUCKERS to purchase a bull to compete in rodeos for charity, I was very excited. I was hoping we'd be able to get in there with HIGH NOON and raise some funds for children and their opportunities to have music as a steady part of their lives [via FreeTheMusicUSA.org], but I didn't realize we could be blessed enough to do so well. A huge thanks to SCOTT ACCOMAZZO and everyone else at the ACE OF SPADES RANCH in STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS for their hard work with HIGH NOON."
