BONNEVILLE Sports WMVP-F (ARIZONA SPORTS 98.7 FM)/PHOENIX will continue as radio flagship for the NBA's PHOENIX SUNS under a new multi-year agreement. The new season is the 39th consecutive for the station carrying the SUNS (including many years as News-Talk and then Sports KTAR-A at 620 AM before the move to FM last year).
SUNS Pres. JASON ROWLEY said, “There’s no better example of a true partnership than our ongoing relationship with ARIZONA SPORTS and the BONNEVILLE family. For 39 years, our fans have known where to tune in to the ‘Voice of the SUNS’ AL MCCOY on game night, and we are thrilled to be continuing that for the foreseeable future.”
BONNEVILLE PHOENIX VP/Market Manager SCOTT SUTHERLAND added, “We’re very proud to extend our longest-standing sports partnership with ARIZONA’s first professional league franchise and an outstanding organization. And of course we’re also excited that SUNS fans will continue to catch the electrifying play-by-play action from Hall of Famer AL MCCOY for many more years.”
The new deal includes a postgame show that will also be streamed as video on the SUNS' new RISE digital network one hour after the end of each game, and a "SUNS Spotlight" feature on sister News-Talk KTAR-F. Weekly shows with coach JEFF HORNACEK, Pres./Basketball Operations LON BABBY and GM RYAN MCDONOUGH will continue to air on ARIZONA SPORTS 98.7.
