Radio Archivist George Griggs, R.I.P.

ART VUOLO, JR. is saddened to report that GEORGE L. GRIGGS, 65 passed away on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28th at 65.  GRIGGS  was a radio archivist who, in concert with SCOTT MACKINON and a few other broadcast enthusiasts,  started the website "DETROIT RADIO FLASHBACKS," which is now known as "MOTOR CITY RADIO FLASH BACKS"  -- accessed by the initials www.mcrfb.com.  

GRIGGS compiled audio clips and memorabilia from DETROIT-area stations, dating back the late 1950s. 

Visitation will be held THURSDAY, OCTOBER 30th from 2-8p at the HARRY J. WILL FUNERAL HOME, 37000 Six Mile Road (north side of the road just east of Newburgh) LIVONIA, MI.  A funeral service will take place on FRIDAY at 11a at the WILL FUNERAL site.  Friends may visit on FRIDAY morning beginning at 10a.
