FIRESIDE RADIO, LLC is selling Contemporary Christian KSIK/FLEMING, CO to ALEXANDER and CHRISTINE CREIGHTON's NORTHEAST COLORADO BROADCASTING, LLC for $50,000 plus a time brokerage agreement before closing. In addition, 3G LEARNING SOLUTIONS is selling noncommercial KOOW/CROOK, CO to the CREIGHTONS' PRAIRIE COMMUNITY RADIO for $20,000.
In other filings with the FCC, REFUGE MEDIA GROUP is selling K218DK/BLOOMINGTON, MN and K293BA/ELKO, MN to MINN-IOWA CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING, INC. for $147,000.
EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for W249BQ/EAST ALBANY, GA after it lost its tower lease.
METRO NORTH COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WLWB-A/NEW HOLSTEIN, WI due to damage to its ground system by a third party's heavy equipment.
RADIOACTIVE, LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STAs for WIQI/WATSECA, IL, KEWS/SAC CITY, IA and KYME/ROCKFORD, IA "due to inadequate long-term staffing and programming resources."
And RAVEN RIDGE MINISTRIES, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for W221AR/COSHOCTON, OH because "(t)he licensee has determined that it is no longer feasible or necessary to operate the station with a redundant service."
Also, FRESH NEW MEDIA, OMAHA, NE; SACRAMENTO BICYCLE KITCHEN, SACRAMENTO, CA; WITH OUR WORDS, INC., STOCKTON, CA; and UTAH ARTS ALLIANCE, SALT LAKE CITY, UT have been granted construction permits for new low-power FMs.
KEY BROADCASTING CORPORATION, INC./FORCHT BROADCASTING CORP.'s previously-reported purchase of Hot AC WCKQ (Q104) and Sports WTCO (ESPN RADIO 1450 AM)/CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY and Country WGRK-F (K-COUNTRY 105.7)/GREENSBURG, KY from COMMONWEALTH BROADCASTING CO., the price of which was initially undisclosed, is $1.7 million, according to broker ED HENSON, who says that the paperwork for the sale was filed with the FCC TODAY (10/30). COMMONWEALTH's CBC OF MARION & TAYLOR COUNTIES, INC. and GREEN COUNTY CBC, INC. are selling the station to KEY/FORCHT's TRI-COUNTY RADIO BROADCASTING CORPORATION and FIRST CORBIN REALTY, LLC.
