Crush Music Hires Evan Taubenfeld, Peter Malkin For New Posts

Longtime AVRIL LAVIGNE music director and collaborator, and former WARNER BROS. RECORDS solo artist EVAN TAUBENFELD has been named head of A&R for CRUSH MUSIC.
In this role, TAUBENFIELD wilL oversee A&R for CRUSH's extensive roster, which includes SIA, TRAIN, FALL OUT BOY, TRAVIE McCOY, PANIC! AT THE DISCO, BIG DATA, MATT NATHANSON, ANDREW McMAHON, IN THE WILDERNESS and NEW POLITICS, among others. TAUBENFELD will also head up the newly formed CRUSH MUSIC PUBLISHING venture. He spent the previous two years running CRUSH's publishing venture 'MIGHTY SEVEN SONGS at SONGS PUBLISHING.
Said TAUBENFELD: "CRUSH's reputation and philosophy of putting the music first and always doing what's best for their artists is why it's been my home for nearly a decade. I get to work with my longtime mentor JONATHAN DANIEL and many of my closest friends on a roster I truly love and believe in."
PETER MALKIN also joins CRUSH with over a 20 years’ experience and a vast network in the music, brand, online video, and social media industries to launch a new brand partnerships division, CRUSH CONCEPTS. He's built a foundation wearing different hats in the music space, from managing successful artists (THE FUGEES, WYCLEF JEAN, LAURYN HILL, JOAN OSBORNE, SPACEHOG, NINE DAYS and VANESSA CARLTON) to booking acts for the BILL GRAHAM ORGANIZATION to signing new talent to EPIC RECORDS as VP A&R. He also spent time at SIX FLAGS ENTERTAINMENT, spearheading its music initiatives at all its amusement parks.
