You could see this coming from a mile away, unlike a MADISON BUMGARNER fastball.
With SAN FRANCISCO radio stations boycotting LORDE's "Royals,' her tribute to one-time KANSAS CITY baseball star GEORGE BRETT, during the World Series, there were plenty of parodies to take its place.
Now, in the wake of the GIANTS' stirring seven-game victory, LAS VEGAS pop/hip-hop /dance duo HARDNOX have offered their own take-off, "We Beat the ROYALS," and have grabbed more than 12,000 hits on YOUTUBE in less than 24 hours.
Local stations are all over the song, with CBS RADIO Top 40 Rhythmic KSFM (102.5)/SACRAMENTO, ROYCE INTERNATIONAL Top 40 KREV (92.7 REV THE REVOLUTION)/SAN FRANCISCO, RESULTS RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic KCEZ (POWER 102)/CHICO and CBS RADIO News/Talk/Sports KHTK (SPORTS 1140)/SACRAMENTO all serving up TWEETs about it.
Check it out.
