The tentative agenda for the FCC's NOVEMBER 21st open meeting includes three items, one of which is consideration of the proposed modernization of broadcast station contest terms disclosure rules.
The release issued by Chairman TOM WHEELER specified as the first of three items, "Modernizing Contest Rules: The Commission will consider a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to provide broadcasters greater flexibility in their disclosure of contest terms." The Commission has been considering a proposal made by ENTERCOM two years ago to allow contest rule details to be posted on the Internet as an alternative to airing the complete rules.
Also on the docket are items about transition to next-generation wireline networks, and 911 governance and accountability as technology changes.
