The PUBLIC RADIO PROGRAM DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION (PRPD) has named WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA PUBLIC RADIO Pres./CEO JODY EVANS as its next Pres./CEO. EVANS, the former programmer at VERMONT PUBLIC RADIO and the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS' KUT/AUSTIN, will succeed the retiring ARTHUR COHEN on JANUARY 1st.
PRPD Board Chair and MICHIGAN RADIO PD TAMAR CHARNEY said, “We are excited that JODY will bring her passion for mission driven content, forward thinking ideas about our industry, and her inspirational leadership abilities to PRPD. She is driven by her love of our industry and her excitement about the strong future that is possible for public media.
