CUMULUS/SHREVEPORT, LA will host a singing competition on MARCH 7th that will award $50,000 and an all-expenses paid trip to LOS ANGELES to audition for "The Voice." The SHREVEPORT TIMES reports that CUMULUS will hold live auditions throughout late JANUARY and early FEBRUARY at HARRAH’S LOUISIANA DOWNS. Contestants can register for live audition on the same station websites.
“In the history of CUMULUS, we’ve never had a competition of this size and most certainly never given away this amount of money,” Market Manager BRANDON BEARD said. “There are many talented people in this area who never get their voices heard and that’s exactly what we’re trying to do here.” BEARD anticipates tens of thousands of entries from across the region because of the large prize."
The live televised finale is set for 7p ON MARCH 7th at HORSESHOE’S RIVERDOME.
