PRIMARY WAVE MUSIC PUBLISHING's TALENT MANAGEMENT division has merged with EVOLUTION MANAGEMENT, the company founded by MARK BURG. This merger of film/TV talent and literary managers is part of a major expansion of PRIMARY WAVE’s existing in-house film/TV development, management and production division. The new company will operate under the PRIMARY WAVE moniker and move to expanded offices in 2015.
PRIMARYH WAVE’s roster of film and TV talent, which includes GOLDEN GLOBE winner JANE LYNCH, will now be able to take advantage of the "natural synergy" among the two diverse rosters and industries. Those managers joining the merged company from EVOLUTION include: BURG, MICHAEL MENCHEL, TIFFANY KUZON, BRAD KAPLAN, MARGOT MENZEL and BEN PRESS, as well as STEPHEN GATES, SEKKA SCHER and DAN PATACK in NEW YORK.
“MARK and I have been friends for decades and over the years, we’ve completed many successful business deals together,” explains PRIMARY WAVE CEO LARRY MESTEL. “This was an inevitable partnership and now, as a formal alliance, we will combine our companies expertise and relationships in music, TV and film.”
The merging of EVOLUTION’s talent management team will enhance PRIMARY WAVE’s current success with PRIMARY WAVE TV, their in-house film/TV development and production division headed by ANDREW JAMESON. Since its inception in 2012, PRIMARY WAVE TV has overseen a development and production slate of over a dozen original projects in both the scripted and unscripted world and has placed three shows on the air, including TBS' "The Good Life," which exteded client CEELO GREEN's brand into the film and TV world, securing roles in "Sparkle," "Hotel Transylvania," "Can A Song Save Your Life," and a guest appearance on FX's "Anger Management," which BURG helped facilitate with PRIMARY WAVE CEO MESTEL, GREEN’s manager.
