CARRIE UNDERWOOD is one of the stars set to perform on TONIGHT’s (11/11) “Concert For Valor” special, airing on HBO in honor of VETERAN’s day and her 2013 hit, “See You Again” will be included.
UNDERWOOD penned an essay which ran on TIME.com YESTERDAY (11/10), explaining how she sings that tune differently now, after meeting the wife and daughter of a US serviceman recently killed in action.
“I am still amazed at how strong they both were,” UNDERWOOD wrote. ”They might have found a little comfort in one of my songs. But because of their story and the many others like it that I have heard since, I’ll never sing that song the same way again.
“Music is a powerful thing,” she continued. “Although I’m sure going to a concert doesn’t fix any problems or heal any wounds, it can take one’s mind a few steps away from terrible things that are weighing heavily on the heart.”
