In other filings with the FCC, TEXOMA BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of Country KLBC and Oldies KSEO-A-K231CE/DURANT, OK and KBBC/TISHOMINGO, OK to MID-CONTINENTAL BROADCASTING, LLC for $2.45 million.
EAST ARKANSAS BROADCASTERS, INC. has closed on the sale of K293BS/FORREST CITY, AR to FORREST CITY BROADCASTING CO., INC. for $35,000. The station will rebroadcast AC-News-Talk KXJK-A/FORREST CITY.
RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator W273CC/ALPENA, MI to WEST CENTRAL MICHIGAN MEDIA MINISTRIES for $10,000.
And TOM HODGINS has closed on the sale of K288EU/LEWISTON AND CLARK, ID to NEZ PERCE TRIBE for $70,000.
Report: Buyer Walks Away From Deal For Radio Disney's Detroit Station
Not yet complete is a deal for RADIO DISNEY's WFDF-A/FLINT-DETROIT, and THE STREET is reporting that a deal with a prospective buyer, a "local broadcasting company that had made a verbal offer," fell apart in the contract stage when the buyer "decided not to pursue" the station and instead decided to try to buy one of CBS RADIO's local stations, ostensibly Sports WXYT-A (CBS SPORTS RADIO 1270). Thus far, RADIO DISNEY has sold KMIC-A/HOUSTON to DAIJ MEDIA, LLC for $3.2 million and rumors of a deal to sell WQEW-A/NEW YORK to FAMILY STATIONS have been circulating but a deal has yet to appear at the FCC database.
