NIAGARA UNIVERSITY men's basketball will continue to air on ENTERCOM stations, this year on Urban Oldies WWWS-A (AM 1400 SOLID GOLD SOUL)/BUFFALO, under a new contract extension. The PURPLE EAGLES have aired on ENTERCOM stations, including WWKB-A and WGR-A, since 2009-10. Seven regular season games will air on sister Sports WGR-A. TODD CALLEN will be back for his ninth season calling the action.
The school's Deputy Director of Athletics STEVE BUTLER said, "I am excited to partner with Entercom who is such a leader in the region for media properties. To have some of our games broadcasted on WGR, sharing the same radio home as the BILLS and SABRES, is another example of how strong of the brand of NIAGARA Basketball is."
ENTERCOM VP/Market Manager GREG RIED added, "We look forward to once again giving NU fans a place to follow their team on the radio."
