The NASHVILLE ASSOCIATION OF TALENT DIRECTORS (NATD) held its "4th ANNUAL NATD HONORS GALA" last NIGHT (11/11) at the HERMITAGE HOTEL in NASHVILLE (NET NEWS 10/09).
WILLIAM MORRIS ENDEAVOR ENTERTAINMENT Partner/Co-Head ROB BECKHAM and iconic artist CHARLIE DANIELS joined TENNESSEE GOVERNOR BILL HASLAM, VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY head baseball coach TIM CORBIN, PARALLEL ENTERTAINMENT Founder/CEO J.P. WILLIAMS, WSMV-TV news anchor/reporter DEMETRIA KALODIMOS, and Contemporary Christian artist MICHAEL W. SMITH in being honored by the NATD.
Music vet TANDY RICE was also honored as the first inductee into the NATD HALL OF FAME. RICE, an NATD charter member and past president, helped shape the Country music industry while serving on the Board of Directors of the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) for over a decade and as its President in 1981.
Additionally, a special surprise grant of $5,000 was made to booking agent MATT RIZOR’s medical fund by NATD and was matched by the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC's (ACM) LIFTING LIVES FOUNDATION. MATT was seriously injured earlier this year when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver (NET NEWS 8/18).
