ENTERCOM COMMUNICATIONS Alternative KNDD (107.7 THE END)/SEATTLE launches "SUBTRONIC END," an EDM-focused SATURDAY night soundtrack. The weekly show airs from 10p-midnight (PT).
SUBTRONIC END is two hours of the best electronic dance music from superstar DJs like TIESTO, AVICII, HARDWELL and CALVIN HARRIS, as well as newer artists that THE END will help listeners discover. These sets will be mixed in-studio by THE END’s own ZACH, who has been DJing in clubs from SEATTLE to CAIRO, and many places in between.
PD GARETT MICHAELS said, “We’ve felt the impact of EDM in SEATTLE through sold-out concerts, music downloads and now, the passion of our listeners, for this exciting genre. As the station for SEATTLE’s NEW MUSIC DISCOVERY, we’re excited to present a brand-new show that highlights the music and the EDM community.”
The decision to create this segment sprung from a recent END listener survey, which found that there is a lot of passion and interest in the EDM genre in the SEATTLE area. Launching a new weekly SATURDAY night show that specializes in the music showcases THE END’s commitment to serving to listeners' preferences and tastes by continuing to offer innovative solutions for discovering new music, according to MICHAELS.
