RUBY RADIO CORP. has appointed veteran programmer TOM CHASE VP/Programming. Starting in DECEMBER, CHASE will oversee all of RUBY RADIO’s stations: MIX 96.7, 101.1 COYOTE-FM, BIG COUNTRY 103.9, NEWSTALK 94.5 KZBI, and Z-107.7/ELKO, NV, plus MIX 102.7 and BIG COUNTRY 94.3/WINNEMUCCA, NV.
“TOM CHASE is an outstanding programmer," RUBY RADIO Pres./CEO KEN SUTHERLAND said. "We’ve worked together three times in the past, and I have a very high regard for his skills - both as a solid strategic and operational PD -- and as a strong department manager.”
“I like the texture and presentation of RUBY's stations.," noted CHASE, who has spent most of the last 22 years as the Program Manager of the CLEAR CHANNEL/LAS VEGAS cluster. "I grew up in a small community in IDAHO, so I can relate to the size of these towns. RUBY RADIO has found ways to make these stations sound like they're in much bigger markets, without sacrificing the ‘home town feel’ of community involvement that you need for success. KEN and I go way back, he is a very creative operator, and we work well together. RUBY RADIO embraces today’s technology to create excellent programming. I am very pleased to be a part of this company!”
