ALL ACCESS has confirmed that DALLAS now has Classic Hip-Hop at 2 stations. RADIO ONE Urban AC KSOC (K-SOUL 94.5) is now BOOM 94.5 Classic Hip-Hop and CUMULUS Top 40 KLIF (THE NEW HOT 93.3) is Classic Hip-Hop 'For The Holidays.'
Recently RADIO ONE flipped to the BOOM format at KROI/HOUSTON (NET NEWS 10/13) and WPHI/PHILADELPHIA (NET NEWS 11/7).
The KSOC Flip has impacted 2 RADIO ONE employees and REACH MEDIA's "THE TOM JOYNER MORNING SHOW."
VP/GM GARY SPURGEON said, "Transitioning employees is always difficult. We've taken every step to ensure our employees are treated fairly and with respect. As for TOM, he's an icon and consummate professional that understands our format change and looks forward to partying with his DALLAS listeners on his digital platforms."
JOYNER's show can still be heard in DALLAS every weekday morning form 5-9a by streaming online around the clock on BLACKAMERICAWEB.COM. Listeners can also download the shows app to stream live at http://bit.ly/TJMSApp.
KSOC/GAINSVILLE has a Class C signal based North of Dallas and KLIF/HALTOM CITY is a Class C2 located between DALLAS and FT. WORTH.
