WNOX's Frank Murphy Honored With FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award

JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP Classic Hits WNOX (CLASSIC HITS 93.1)/KNOXVILLE APD/afternoon host FRANK MURPHY will receive the FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award in a ceremony this afternoon in KNOXVILLE.
The award, to be presented to MURPHY by FBI Special Agent in Charge, KNOXVILLE Division EDWARD W. REINHOLD, honors individuals and organizations for selfless contributions to their communities; the local winners will be brought to FBI Headquarters at a later date for a national ceremony with the FBI Director.
MURPHY is being honored for several community contributions, including hosting the JOURNAL cluster's "EAST TENNESSEE REPORT" and featuring law enforcement issues, serving as emcee or talent for several charity events and organizations including the KIDS HELPING KIDS FUN WALK, AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION, and others, and anchoring public television pledge drives.
