The FCC has proposed an $18,000 fine against RADIO FIESTA CORPORATION for public file violations and two late license renewal applications at Vietnamese KAZA-A (VIEN THAO RADIO)/GILROY, CA. The Commission also approved the sale of the station to INTELLI, LLC, the firm that has operated the station under an LMA since 2010, for $1 million.
KAZA's license renewal application for 2005 was late by almost 4 months, blamed on the death of the station's GM in JULY of that year; the application for 2013 was late by over a month. In addition, the 2005 application included an admission that quarterly issues/programs reports from 1999 through 2005 were not in the public file.
