CBS RADIO Alternative KITS (LIVE 105)/SAN FRANCISCO morning show KEVIN KLEIN LIVE, has started a crowdsourcing campaign to raise money for U2 singer BONO, who needed arm surgery after a bike accident, DIFFUSER reports. U2 had to cancel a weeklong residency on the TONIGHT SHOW WITH JIMMY FALLON.’
KLEIN and crew decided to do this good deed because BONO's med bills "could be astronomical." The fundraising campaign, launched this morning, has set a goal of $100,000. So far, they’ve racked up $55, but they are promising "a year’s worth of good karma" for a "$1 donation; "your name on the air " for $10; co-host ALLY "will sleep with your cousin" for $100 (Note: This is for sleeping only.); $50 gets a celebrity impression from co-host BRAD WILLIAMS and $100 gets you an in-studio visit.
