Radio Disney Sells WFDF/Detroit To The Word Network

Another RADIO DISNEY station finds a buyer, this time in DETROIT, where FLINT move-in WFDF-A is being sold to KEVIN ADELL's THE WORD NETWORK for $3 million.  The buyer is affiliated with ADELL BROADCASTING CO., owner of independent WADL-TV/MOUNT CLEMENS-DETROIT.  The deal has yet to appear in the FCC database.

In another deal yet to appear in the FCC database, NORMAN SWAN's GLOBAL NEWS CONSULTANTS LLC is selling Oldies KYTS (GOOD TIME OLDIES 105.7)/MANDERSON-WORLAND-THERMOPOLIS, WY and Classic Hits KHRW (92.7 THE EAGLE)/RANCHESTER-SHERIDAN, WY to LARRY PATRICK's LEGEND COMMUNICATIONS LLC for $262,000.   LEGEND operates the stations under an LMA and sold the construction permits for the stations to GLOBAL in 2009 for $200,000 in a promissory note.  PATRICK COMMUNICATIONS served as exclusive broker for the deal.

In filings with the Commission, BILL SHIRK's HOOSIER BROADCASTING CORP. is selling noncommercial Hot AC WIRE (RADIOMOM 91.1 FM)/LEBANON, IN to BRENT G. LEE 's COMMUNITY RADIO PARTNERS for $205,000 ($20,000 deposit, $35,000 more at closing, $150,000 promissory note).

SPANISH PEAKS BROADCASTING, INC. is transferring Triple A KDTR (TRAIL 103.3)/FLORENCE, MT, Hot AC KKVU (U 104.5)/STEVENSVILLE, MT,  Adult Hits KYJK (105.9 JACK FM) and K275BS/MISSOULA, MT, and K287AW/HAMILTON, MT to SIMMONS MEDIA VENTURES, LLC's MISSOULA BROADCASTING CO., LLC for partial forgiveness of debt totaling $2,423,477.66 plus accrued interest.  The stations are being valued at $1.2 million, and the remaining amount to be paid by the borrower will involve a cash distribution to pay taxes after preparation of the borrower's 2014 income tax forms.

HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP is selling K264BJ/CALEXICO, CA to ST. JPII EDUCATIONAL MEDIA, INC. for $8,000.  HORIZON is also selling W247CC/MOOREHEAD, MN to BROOKE INGSTAD for $75,000; the translator will rebroadcast RADIO FARGO-MOORHEAD Classic Country KQWB-A (WILLIE @ 1660)/FARGO.

BUCKAROO BROADCASTING, LLC has requested a Silent STA for K221AG/WINNEMUCCA, NV while it changes its primary station.

MEDIA EYE has closed on the sale of K272FC/VOORHIES, OR to the OREGON STATE BOARD OF HIGHER EDUCATION for SOUTHERN OREGON UNIVERSITY for $70,000.

And STARBOARD MEDIA FOUNDATION, INC. has closed on the sale of W275BV/WINCHESTER, VA to CITY COMMONS LLC VA SERIES A for $11,000.  The station will rebroadcast Classic Hits WXVA-A/WINCHESTER.

SOUTHWEST ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER at LAS CRUCES, NM and YUMA CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL in YUMA, AZ have been granted construction permits for low power FMs, and CONNOISSEUR MEDIA OF ERIE, LLC has been granted a construction permit for a new full power FM at MINA, NY on 95.9 FM.

In CANADA, the CRTC has approved an upgrade from low power unprotected service to Class B for KING'S KIDS PROMOTIONS OUTREACH MINISTRIES Contemporary Christian-Top 40 CKOS (KAOS 91.1)/FORT MCMURRAY, AB, which will increase from 35 watts to 40,000 watts and from 72.1 to 96.5 meters above average terrain.  And the agency also approved an upgrade for LA RADIO CAMPUS COMMUNAUTAIRE FRANCOPHONE DE SHAWINIGAN INC. French community station CFUT (RADIO 91.1)/SHAWINIGAN, QC, moving from 250 watts directional at 9.2 meters on 91.1 FM to 3,900 watts non-directional at 123.7 meters on 92.9 FM.
