"Heaven Knows" RAZOR & TIE had a pretty damn good year at rock radio.
In fact, thanks to that hit from THE PRETTY RECKLESS, not to mention airplay smashes from ALL THAT REMAINS and STARSET, the indie label earned the second slot among all companies at rock radio, including the majors.
“Heaven Knows” finishes the year as the #1 song at Active and Mainstream Rock and spent 18 weeks at the top of the Mainstream Rock chart.
RAZOR & TIE is the #2 label at Mainstream Rock with a 10.7% market share, second only to WARNER BROS. (AVENGED SEVENFOLD, LINKIN PARK, BLACK KEYS), with four of the Top 15 songs, and an 8.5% market share of Active Rock airplay, good for #3 behind only WARNER BROS. and REPUBLIC RECORDS.
Other big hits for the label on the year-end Mainstream Rock chart include ALL THAT REMAINS’ “What if I Was Nothing” (#9), STARSET’s “My Demons” (#11), and THE PRETTY RECKLESS'’ “Messed up World” (#15).
RAZOR & TIE Co-Owners CLIFF CHENFELD and CRAIG BALSAM commented, “We couldn’t be more thrilled with the progress that we have made in 2014. We are working with the next great artists in rock and our success is a testament to their excellence and the hard work of our staff. Rock is coming back and we are excited to be part of it.”
Label SVP/Promotion KURT STEFFEK added: “This year was further proof that barriers for success for independent labels have come down. Radio has been so open to supporting our bands, I can’t say thanks enough to them, our great team and all the hard work our bands have put in on the road.”
