CBS RADIO/TAMPA VP/Programming ROB MORRIS is transferring to the company’s recently acquired MIAMI cluster for similar duties, where he’ll oversee Country WKIS, Top 40 WPOW and Sports WQAM-A.
The two markets are part of a four-cluster swap that sees CBS RADIO’s TAMPA and CHARLOTTE groups going to BEASLEY, which in turn, hands over its MIAMI and PHILADELPHIA stations to CBS (NET NEWS 10/28).
MORRIS arrived in TAMPA in JULY (NET NEWS 7/14), after a long career in the MINNEAPOLIS market, most recently heading up Country KMNB (BUZ’N).
“Today marks a new beginning for our cluster of stations in MIAMI and I’m thrilled to be working with ROB and the great management team at CBS RADIO,” CBS RADIO/MIAMI SVP/Market Manager JOE BELL said. “We have built a solid foundation in the market with a history of community service and programming excellence. We look forward to the extensive array of assets and expertise that CBS RADIO brings to our operations which will ultimately benefit the listener and our advertisers.”

CBS RADIO/TAMPA's former Market Manager STEVE CARVER will be working on a number of special projects for CBS RADIO for the next several months. In a statement, CBS RADIO said, "STEVE has been a valued member of the CBS RADIO family, having served as SVP/Market Manager for our operations in TAMPA, LOS ANGELES, WEST PALM BEACH and CLEVELAND. He has made a number of important contributions to our success over the years and it is with fondness and appreciation that we thank him for his many years of service."
Last week, BEASLEY transferred KENT DUNN and TEE GENTRY to TAMPA as VP/Market Mgr. and OM, respectively (NET NEWS 11/26).
