LOS ANGELES-based independent label ROLL CALL RECORDS has pacted with INGROOVES MUSIC GROUP for worldwide distribution, music publishing and its INRESIDENCE ARTIST SERVICE to provide promotion and marketing for all the releases on the label. The new deal marks the first time a label has engaged INRESIDENCE ARTIST SERVICES for its entire catalog of releases.
"This first-of-its-kind partnership with INGROOVES gives ROLL CALL RECORDS' artists the most forward-thinking and engaged distribution, promotion, and marketing team we could ask for," said label head ROB ABELOW. "Together we are well-prepared to address the challenges of today's ever-changing industry with a creative, collaborative, and innovative mindset."
ROLL CALL RECORDS is readying a packed slate of releases in 2015. SAN FRANCISCO synth-rock band GEOGRAPHER have a brand new album slated for MARCH. ON AN ON, a MINNEAPOLIS indie-rock trio, are currently finishing their follow-up album to 2013's critically-acclaimed "Give In" with highly regarded producer JOE CHICCARELLI (THE SHINS, WHITE STRIPES, MY MORNING JACKET, SPOON). THE LIGHTHOUSE AND THE WHALER will hit the studio in JANUARY with MARCUS PAQUIN (ARCADE FIRE, LOCAL NATIVES, STARS) to record their label debut, which is expected to hit retail next SUMMER. And PORTLAND's 11-piece orchestral-folk rock ensemble TYPHOON will head back into the studio after touring for the past year on 2013's sprawling "White Lighter."
"Over the past few years ROB and his team have built one of the most vibrant independent record labels in the world and we are honored he has chosen INRESIDENCE to serve as the marketing force behind all of his releases," said SVP BRYAN MEAD. "We are looking forward to working closely with ROB to continue to develop the great artists on his label."
