The Commission has dismissed JAMIE PATRICK BROADCASTING, LTD.'s petition for reconsideration of the license cancellation and deletion of KTRY-F/BASTROP, LA due to a late renewal application. The FCC cancelled the station's license in JANUARY 2006 after the license expired on JUNE 1, 2004 without a renewal application being filed. The station then filed a renewal form on MARCH 1, 2006 but the application was treated as a petition for reconsideration and dismissed as untimely. A 2007 petition was dismissed as being filed one day late, which JPB blamed on FEDEX in a 2012 appeal; the Commission called the three petitions "repetitious" and added that even if the FCC were to consider the 2012 petition's merits, it would have failed because the Commission "lacks the authority to extend or waive the statutory 30-day filing period for petitions for reconsideration."
And the license for noncommercial KXKY/RATCLIFF, AR has been cancelled and deleted at the request of licensee LIGHTWAVE, INC.
