ENTERCOM News-Talk WYRD-F (WORD 106.3)/GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG, SC is adding two new local shows for 6a-noon. Former WBT-A-F/CHARLOTTE and WTMA-A/CHARLESTON, SC host TARA SERVATIUS will take over mornings 6-10a (ET), while weekend host and former WBT-A-F host VINCE COAKLEY will host 10a-noon weekdays, starting MONDAY (12/8).
The new shows fill the time slots of UPSTATE MORNING NEWS, whose co-anchor LEE ROGERS remains on board as SERVATIUS' news anchor, and the late RUSS CASSELL. ROGERS' co-anchor LISA ROLLINS is not mentioned in the release from the station and has apparently exited the station.
VP/Market Manager STEVE SINICROPI said, “We are energizing morning radio with the launch of these vibrant, live and local talk shows. Both TARA and VINCE will deliver fresh, and thought provoking commentary on the issues and news our community cares about most. We are excited about fans joining in the on-air conversation on the only UPSTATE local News/Talk station.”
SERVATIUS said, “I am thrilled about the opportunity to host a new program on WORD 106.3. I look forward to mixing it up with guests and callers on the day’s events, and covering breaking news as it occurs.”
COAKLEY said, “I am very excited to move to weekday mornings. I can’t wait to bring my provocative angle and humorous perspective on issues impacting our listeners every weekday.”
