WWCD Kicks Off 22nd Andyman-A-Thon On December 12th

WWCD LTD. Alternative WWCD (CD102.5)/COLUMBUS, OH celebrates the 22nd annual "ANDYMAN-A-THON" starting FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12th, at 7p. Begun in 1992 by former longtime PD/afternooner ANDYMAN DAVIS, the ANDYMAN-A-THON has raised more than one million in the past 21 years for CD102.5 FOR THE KIDS, a charity designed to support local charities that are committed to helping children and families in need throughout CENTRAL OHIO.

CD102.5 DJs will continue ANDYMAN’s tradition by encouraging listeners to call the studio and request songs to be played in exchange for donations to CD102.5 FOR THE KIDS. Donations will be collected throughout the weekend beginning FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12th at 7p and ending SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14th at 7p.

“We’re looking forward to the 22nd Annual ANDYMAN-A-THON,” CD102.5 Owner/Pres. RANDY MALLOY said. “This is our way of honoring his memory and we know that ANDYMAN would have wanted this tradition and support from the community to continue.”

CD102.5 also will be hosting an auction on eBAY auction items include guitars autographed by ARCTIC MONKEYS, KINGS OF LEON and WALK THE MOON. There will be other items signed by CAGE THE ELEPHANT, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, and many more!

The celebration begins TONIGHT (12/5) with CD102.5 hosting its 5th Annual "ANDYMAN-A-THON BENEFIT CONCERT" at KING AVENUE 5 featuring COLIN GAWEL & THE LONELY BONES, X-RATED COWBOYS, DAMN THE WITCH SIREN, and COMRADE QUESTIONS. Tickets for the event are $10 at the door.
