RESULTS RADIO launches a new Top 40 station in the STATE COLLEGE, PA market, dumping the Smooth Jazz format launched earlier this year on the 94.5 frequency (WSMO) to launch ALL HIT B94.5 WBHV.
NICK FERRARA, Director of Station Operations for RESULTS RADIO OF PA commented: “We are very excited to provide our listeners with this energetic, exciting music-driven and mass-appeal radio. We appreciate the loyal following Smooth Jazz 94.5 developed since its launch earlier this year; however I believe this to be a tremendous opportunity to compliment our successful Oldies station, WOWY 97.1 in STATE COLLEGE – as well as our group of stations in the JOHNSTOWN market."
"On a personal level, this is a gratifying return to my Contemporary Hit Radio roots, having developed B94/PITTSBURGH, B97/NEW ORLEANS, KS103/SAN DIEGO and KMEL/SAN FRANCISCO to national prominence in this format,” added FERRARA.
This marks a return to the market of the WBHV call letters on the FM dial. Previously, they resided at 103.1 FM, where the station was known for many years as Top 40 "Beaver 103" before flipping to Hot AC, Top 40 Rhythmic, and eventually Rock as WQWK "Qwk Rock."
