Rock Mafia Songwriter/Producer Tim James Inks With Downtown Music Publishing

BMI AWARD-winning songwriter/producer TIM JAMES, co-founder of the ROCK MAFIA team with partner ANTONINA ARMATO, has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with DOWNTOWN MUSIC PUBLISHING. ARMATO has been signed to DMP since 2007. The agreement was announced today by DOWNTOWN CEO JUSTIN KALIFOWITZ.
SELENA GOMEZ's latest single, "The Heart Wants What It Wants," penned by JAMES and ARMATO, is part of the deal. The song is quickly breaking into the Top 5 of the BILLBOARD HOT 100, currently sitting at #6. In addition, the agreement will cover such hit singles as GOMEZ's "Love You Like a Love Song" and "Naturally," MILEY CYRUS'' "Can't Be Tamed" and "See You Again," and the COCA-COLA FIFA WORLD CUP ANTHEM, "The World Is Ours," among many others.
DMP has also formed a new joint venture publishing company with ROCK MAFIA to sign emerging songwriters and producers, with RYAN O'DONNELL, previously a producer manager at NEW HEIGHTS ENTERTAINMENT, working with REDONE and ADAM ANDERS, appointed VP Creative/A&R . O'DONNELL has previously held A&R positions at INTERSCOPE and MAVERICK RECORDS.
