Patti Smith, Lorde, Sia, Trent Reznor Nab Golden Globe Nominations

PATTI SMITH, LORDE, SIA, JOHN LEGEND and TRENT REZNOR were among the musicians receiving GOLDEN GLOBE nominations for this year's awards. The nods were announced this morning (12/11).
PATTI SMITH and LENNY KAYE's "Mercy Is," from DARREN ARONOFSKY's "Noah," was one of the nominees in the Best Original Song- Motion Picture category, along with LANA DEL REY's "Big Eyes" (the title song for the TIM BURTON movie); JOHN LEGEND and COMMON for "Glory" (from the upcoming film "Selma"); GREG KURSTIN, SIA FURLER and WILL GLUCK for "Opportunity" (from "Annie") and LORDE for "Yellow Flicker Beat," from her curated soundtrack for "The Hunger Games; Mockingjay Part I."
TRENT REZNOR and ATTICUS ROSS were also nominated for Best Original Score for "Gone Girl," which will be up against ALEXANDER DESPLAT ("The Imitation Game"), JOHANN JOHANNSSON ("The Theory Of Everything"), ANTONIO SANCHEZ ("Birdman"), and HANS ZIMMER ("Interstellar").
The 72nd ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBES will air JANUARY 11th on NBC.
