BMG Chrysalis Acquires X-Ray Dog Music

BMG CHRYSALIS US has announced the acquisition of X-RAY DOG MUSIC, the BURBANK-based independent production music library led by owners MITCH LIJEWSKI and TIM STITHEM. The library boasts over 4,000 tracks, covering a broad collection; Under the arrangement, the X-RAY DOG staff and LIJEWSKI, who will now serve as SVP of BMG PRODUCTION MUSIC N.A. overseeing the company's production music activities in the U.S., join BMG's L.A. office.
The company is known for providing compositions for a multitude of trailers, video game trailers, TV promos and mainstream advertising, providing services for major feature films including "PADDINGTON BEAR," "THE IMITATION GAME," "PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR," "MALEFICENT," "22 JUMP STREET," "IRON MAN 3," "ARGO," and "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES." X-RAY DOG's music has also been used in blockbuster franchises like "TWILIGHT," "NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM," "THE HUNGER GAMES," "LORD OF THE RINGS," "PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN," "SPIDERMAN," and "HARRY POTTER," and networks such as AMC, CBS, HBO and SHOWTIME have licensed music from the catalog, including for promo advertising in every season of FOX's "AMERICAN IDOL."
