100.1 The Beat Is Back In Columbia, SC

As expected, the former FM home of iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WVOC-A/COLUMBIA, SC, which recently returned to the AM dial (NET NEWS 11/6), has flipped to a music format, and it's a familiar one, as the 100.1 FM slot restores its old WXBT calls and Urban format as 100.1 THE BEAT.

The station launched the restored format WEDNESDAY with "10,000 Joints in a Row."  The station flipped from Urban to a simulcast of WVOC's Talk in 2011.
