The deal, originally reached in 2011, was part of the settlement of a civil dispute over the sale of land by JOHN W. SCHULER and BARBARA W. SCHULER to MARTY PIERATT (PIERATT COMMUNICATIONS/COLUMBUS RADIO, INC.), in which the TAYLORS will pay $45,000 plus 6% per year for part of the land and $25,000 plus 4% per annum for 36 months for another portion. The TAYLORS have operated the station under an LMA since 2011.
And PINE TO PRAIRIE BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of Talk-Oldies KKCQ-A (TALK'N OLDIES 1480)/FOSSTON, MN and Country KKCQ-F (Q COUNTRY 96.7)/BAGLEY, MN to R&J BROADCASTING, INC. for an amount redacted from the contract filed with the FCC. The buyer has operated the stations under a time brokerage agreement since 2012.
