Dixie Tipton Named To Capitol VP/Rhythm Promotion Post

CAPITOL MUSIC GROUP has landed former EPIC RECORDS VP/Pop Promotion DIXIE TIPTON for duties as VP/Rhythm Promotion. TIPTON, who spent twelve years with EPIC, also worked at JEFF MCCLUSKEY & ASSOCIATES and started in the business at WBBM (B96)/CHICAGO.

CAPITOL SVP/Promotion DENNIS REESE said, "I tried to hire DIXIE two other times and whiffed. This time I wasn’t going to miss and strike out.

"She loves music, radio loves her and we love her. She’s the type of executive that makes everyone better."
