ENTERCOM Active Rock WAAF/BOSTON’s annual "Rock For Change" fundraiser for the GREATER BOSTON, WORCESTER COUNTY and NEW HAMPSHIRE Food Banks is scheduled for WEDNESDAY through FRIDAY (DECEMBER 17-19). The event has raised over $1 million over 22 years. This year, the station will solicit donations by charging a sliding scale for every request over the three days, with the station agreeing to play any song but charging more the further a song is from the regular format.
GREATER BOSTON FOOD BANK President/CEO CATHERINE D'AMATO said, "(Morning man) GREG HILL and the entire WAAF team have lent their creativity to the GREATER BOSTON FOOD BANK's mission for over 20 years. They inspire us all, and we are grateful for their leadership, commitment and dedication, particularly at this time of year, to end hunger here in our community."
Adding to the special programming, HILL will stay on the air all day 6a-7p for the three days, hosting his own HILL-MAN MORNING SHOW and then co-hosting middays with MIKE HSU and afternoons with MISTRESS CARRIE.
PD/Brand Manager RON VALERI added, “One of the great rewards of being in media is being in a position to help change lives for the better. Once again WAAF is proud to partner with the food banks to present our annual 'Rock For Change' request-a-thon!”
