BMG CHRYSALIS US and HASBRO STUDIOS, the L.A.-based entertainment division of the toy manufacturer, announced the signing of an exclusive, worldwide administration agreement covering the studio's entire music catalog.
The deal covers all original music created for HASBRO-branded TV franchises, including "Transformers" and "My Little Pony," spanning more than 1,000 half-hour episodes of programming, in addition to upcoming films based on HASBRO properties.
The deal forms part of a strategy to expand HASBRO STUDIOS' music publishing and licensing efforts across the world.
"BMG is the perfect partner to help us expand and exploit our vast music library on a global level," said HASBRO Sr. Director Global Licensing MATT PROULX. "Audiences around the world have fallen in love with our franchises through film and television, and working with BMG to capitalize on our vast music assets is an important component of our strategy."
BMG CHRYSALIS U.S. VP Business & Legal Affairs KEITH HAUPRICH, added, "HASBRO is a household name with a rich tradition of family-friendly entertainment and world-class brands, ideally placed to benefit from BMG's global footprint and 'next generation' approach to the music industry. We look forward to working with them."
