iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KTLK-A (TWIN CITIES NEWSTALK AM 1130)/MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL "UP AND AT 'EM" morning co-host BEN KRUSE has exited the station. KRUSE was let go FRIDAY and tweeted, "I get to sleep in on MONDAY! Yay!!!," followed by "Does anybody know the five stages of grief? Asking for a friend" and "How do you say 'sh-t-canned' in Latin?" PD ANDREW LEE is now co-hosting the show.
KRUSE hosted the morning show and, before moving to that shift, the evening "LATE DEBATE" with JACK TOMCZAK since 2011; he previously worked as a graphic designer and New Media Director for fellow former KTLK host TOM EMMER's run for Governor of MINNESOTA in 2010.
TOMCSZAK wrote on Facebook, "BEN was let go on Friday right after the show. We were told it was for financial reasons. This is very weird for me as BEN and I embarked on this radio journey together and it was always a 50/50 partnership. I feel just sick about it, however the show must go on and it will. ANDREW will be filing the chair from now on."
