LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA Alternative KBZT (FM 94/9)/SAN DIEGO collected just under 7,000 pounds of food for the JACOBS AND CUSHMAN SAN DIEGO FOOD BANK in its annual CAN DIEGO food drive on THURSDAY and FRIDAY (12/11-12). Morning show host STEVE WOODS hosted the 28 1/2-hour event, airing live from DAVE AND BUSTER'S in MISSION VALLEY.
WOODS said, "It's wonderful to see the city of SAN DIEGO come out and support such a great cause. Having the chance to put on an event like this and help those who have less this time of year is incredible. I'm so proud of our city, our radio station and our amazing listeners for helping to crush last year's total of 5,000 pounds."
PD KEVIN CALLAHAN added, "At the end of the day, it's about what we can do for the city of SAN DIEGO. We're always blown away but never surprised by the generosity and compassion of our listeners and we can't thank them enough for helping us raise nearly 7,000 pounds of food for families who really need it in SAN DIEGO."
