Doobie Brothers Appearance At Benefit Raises $1.4 Million For Lupus Research

A performance by THE DOOBIE BROTHERS at the ALLIANCE FOR LUPUS RESEARCH's 2014 Benefit Dinner in NEW YORK DECEMBER 2nd raised $1.4 million for research into the disease. The band's appearance was arranged by iHEARTMEDIA Chairman/CEO BOB PITTMAN, who co-chaired the event, which honored PEPSICO Chairman/CEO INDRA K. NOOYI.
The band's TOM JOHNSTON said, “We'd like to thank all the folks at ALR for having us be a part of such a worthy cause. We enjoyed meeting and talking with Indra about her love of music. We'd also like to give a special thanks to BOB PITTMAN at iHEARTMEDIA, and ROBERT WOOD (WOODY) JOHNSON for having us on board for this event. It was truly an honor to meet and play music for you all!”
