WWJ, Detroit Police Team For 'Sergeant Santa' Toy Drive

CBS RADIO News WWJ-A/DETROIT is partnering this year with the DETROIT POLICE DEPARTMENT for the force's "Sergeant Santa" project to collect and distribute thousands of toys to needy children.
The drive wil be highlighted by Police Chief JAMES CRAIG, WWJ's JACKIE PAIGE, and members of the police force and WWJ staff delivering toys on a "Santa Sleigh” caravan on THURSDAY (12/18). Also participating in the toy collection efforts are the DETROIT section of the SOCIETY OF PLASTICS ENGINEERS, which has been donating toys to local charities for 15 years; the DETROIT SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY, UNIVERSITY OF DETROIT MERCY, TIM HORTONS, ULTIMATE FUN PRODUCTIONS’ SANTA HAT HUSTLE in ROYAL OAK, and employees of the police department and WWJ.
