JERRY BRESSON's FIDELITY BROADCASTING CORPORATION is selling Easy Listening simulcast WEZV/NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC and WGTN-F/ANDREWS, SC (EASY 105.9 AND 100.7) and Rhythmic Oldies WYEZ (MOVIN' 94.5)/MURRELLS INLET, SC to BOB WOODWARD and JOHN C. TRENT's COMPASS RADIO GROUP, LLC for $1.6 million plus an LMA as of DECEMBER 1st.
In other filings with the FCC, LINCOLN FINANCIAL MEDIA COMPANY OF COLORADO has filed the paperwork with the FCC for the spin-off of Sports KKFN (SPORTS RADIO 104.3 THE FAN)/LONGMONT, CO-DENVER into a trust, the PIKE'S PEAK TRUST LLC, headed by ELLIOTT EVERS. The spin-off was necessitated by the deal to sell LFM's stations to ENTERCOM and to comply with ownership limits. LFM has also officially filed the paperwork for the sale of the other stations to ENTERCOM.
RHATTIGAN BROADCASTING (TEXAS), L.P. is selling News-Talk KVOP-A, Sports KREW-A, Classic Rock KRIA (103.9 THE ROCKET), and Country KKYN-F (KICKIN COUNTRY)/PLAINVIEW, TX to HIGH PLAINS RADIO NETWORK, LLC for $100,000 plus $350,000 for the broadcast towers and real property associated with the stations.
PATHWAY CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, INC. is selling noncommercial Religion WWEM (GO MIX!)/RUSTBURG, VA to CALVARY CHAPEL OF LYNCHBURG for $260,000.
SUSAN CLINTON is selling W223CO/ATLANTIC CITY, NJ to LONGPORT MEDIA, LLC for $26,000. The translator will rebroadcast News-Talk WOND-A/PLEASANTVILLE-ATLANTIC CITY.
With the death of WILLIAM D. TAYLOR on DECEMBER 10th, the ownership of Oldies KJAA-A (JUKE BOX 1240)/GLOBE, AZ and Country KQSS (GILA 101.9)/MIAMI, AZ is being transferred to his estate, with ROLLYE JAMES CORNELL as Personal Representative. Before his passing, TAYLOR filed to transfer the stations to GLOBECASTING, INC., headed by CORNELL and her husband JON CORNELL, with the buyers' services in operating the stations up to the closing date being treated as consideration for the deal.
BIRACH BROADCASTING CORPORATION has requested an extension of its Silent STA for KJMU-A/SAND SPRINGS, OK "for technical and program source reasons."
RAMA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for WNTF-A/BITHLO-ORLANDO, FL due to transmitter issues.
And FAMILY LIFE BROADCASTING SYSTEM has requested a Silent STA for W232BH/HOLLY, MI, recently acquired from EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION, while it moves to a new tower.
