PACIFICA FOUNDATION is now being audited by the Attorney General's Office of CALIFORNIA, which has launched an audit over failures to comply with CALIFORNIA law governing nonprofit foundations, GLIB.COM reports.
The PACIFICA Board of Directors were notified that they received a DECEMBER 16th letter (sent almost a week earlier) from CALIFORNIA Deputy Attorney General JULIANNE MOSSLER, writing for Attorney General KAMALA D. HARRIS.
"The Office of the Attorney General has the duty to supervise charitable organizations under CALIFORNIA Corporate Code section 5250, and Government Code section 12580 through 12599.8," MOSSLER wrote. "One of the ways the Office performs this duty is by conducting audits of charitable organizations ... the CALIFORNIA Attorney General's Office has selected PACIFICA FOUNDATION RADIO (PFR) for a correspondence audit."
MOSSLER asked for 23 items, many involving multiple documents, for examination, to be sent "within 30 days of the date of this letter (JANUARY 16th, 2015) ... unless otherwise stated, documents and information produced in response to these requests are to cover the period from JANUARY 1st, 2010 to the date of the response."
