ARMADA MEDIA CORP., the new radio group including former WISCONSIN Gov. and Health and Human Services Secretary TOMMY THOMPSON and radio operators JIM COURSOLLE and CHRIS BERNIER, has deleted controversial partner NICK HURTGEN from its ownership. HURTGEN, a former THOMPSON aide, was charged last year by a federal Grand Jury in a kickback scandal in ILLINOIS, and the MEDIA ACCESS PROJECT filed objections to ARMADA's two pending deals to buy clusters in ABERDEEN, SD and the MICHIGAN-WISCONSIN area. The MILWAUKEE JOURNAL-SENTINEL reports that the objections have been withdrawn with the exit of HURTGEN from the deal.
