JOHNNY "KEEGAN" TUNSTALL resigned from his PD/MD/on-air post at COMMUNITY BROADCASTERS Rock WOTT (REAL ROCK 100.7)/WATERTOWN, NY yesterday, citing "a different philosophy of programming than the new owners have."
WOTT, along with six other stations in the region, were recently sold by CLANCY-MANCE to COMMUNITY, headed up by JIM LEVEN and BRUCE MITTMAN.
In an open letter on the station's website, KEEGAN said of the station's new owners, "I wish them no ill will...but as a guest DJ Mayor JEFF GRAHAM played selections from DEBBIE GIBSON, KENNY ROGERS, OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN and CHRISTOPHER CROSS. I felt my integrity and pride were on the line."
