Jim Rome Apologizes For Calling Marching Band Members 'Dorks' In Tweet

CBS SPORTS RADIO's JIM ROME has apologized for calling marching band members "dorks" in a tweet on NEW YEAR'S DAY.

On THURSDAY evening, ROME tweeted in a post since deleted, "Is there anyone not in a marching band who thinks those dorks running around with their instruments are cool?"  Screen shots of the offending tweet spread across the Internet with a hashtag, #MarchOnRome, and ROME tweeted an apology this morning, writing, "Band nation -- I hear you.  I was out of line.  I apologize.  I do not condone bullying of any kind and that was not my intent."
