THE CONCLAVE Board of Directors has unanimously elected JACOBS MEDIA Dir./Digital & Social Strategies LORI LEWIS as the new Board Chairperson for the nonprofit CONCLAVE. She will begin her position immediately, succeeding outgoing Board Chair MARK BOLKE, who has served in the position since JULY 2009.
“There are those who complain about the scarcity of young people interested in working in radio, and then there are those who actually do something about it," LEWIS said. "CONCLAVE has always been the one organization vetting, nurturing, and celebrating youth in radio. It is the greatest strength of this institution and I am honored to help see CONCLAVE into its 40th year. CONCLAVE has an incredible working board, and together we will ensure that #Conclave40 is new, fresh, and exciting for all that love this storied event.”
"Beyond being an obvious upgrade, the election of LORI LEWIS as the Chairperson of the Conclave signifies the board's commitment to moving the mission of the organization forward," BOLKE said. "LORI is such a respected industry leader, and her perspective benefits THE CONCLAVE tremendously. She gets it and I am thrilled with her appointment as Chairperson. Broadcasting's need for an organization like THE CONCLAVE is greater than ever. I will continue to contribute where I can moving forward.”
