GREATER MEDIA Alternative WBOS (RADIO 92-9)/BOSTON and NORTHEAST BROADCASTING Triple A WXRV (92.5 THE RIVER) will help adopted hometown band GUSTER celebrate GUSTER Day in BOSTON JANUARY 15th, as declared in a proclamation by MAYOR MARTY WALSH.
The special day will be held in honor of the band's local roots where they formed as TUFTS freshmen, and their commitment to the environment and public service. GUSTER DAY follows the release of the band's seventh studio album, "Evermotion," out JANUARY 13th via OCHO MULE/NETTWERK.
On GUSTER DAY, the band will perform busking sets at various undisclosed locations around BOSTON, concluding with a performance at the GREENOVATE BOSTON 2014 CLIMATE ACTION PLAN LAUNCH CELEBRATION at the ARTISTS FOR HUMANITY's EPICENTER, where 450 lucky GUSTER fans will have the chance to attend the event by RSVPing here. Doors open at 5:30p (ET) and the program begins at 6:30p (ET).
The band has also scheduled a live session at alternative mainstay WBOS, with ticket giveaways there and Triple A WXRV. "Evermotion" is now streaming in full via SPOTIFY, praised by VICE NOISEY as "emotive, honest" from a band "capable of writing tight hooks, painting sharply rendered scenes and playing with unique instrumental textures."
GUSTER's upcoming U.S. tour with KISHI BASHI starts JANUARY 17th at DENVER's OGDEN THEATER and then runs through MAY 2nd at PORTLAND's STATE THEATER.
