RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING and WASHINGTON REDSKINS owner DANIEL SNYDER has come to the rescue of TOM CRUISE, providing a reported $2.5 million annually with partners MARK SHAPIRO of SNYDER's SIX FLAGS INC. and DWIGHT SCHAR of NVR INC. to CRUISE and his partner PAULA WAGNER's CRUISE/WAGNER PRODUCTIONS for overhead expenses. CRUISE/WAGNER was booted from PARAMOUNT after negotiations were terminated between the studio and CRUISE over a renewal of the 14 year deal between the parties; SNYDER, SHAPIRO, and SCHAR have formed FIRST AND GOAL LLC to back CRUISE's production company under a two year deal with renewal options that also may give the SNYDER crew the right to participate in production fees and profits from CRUISE's movies.
