  SAN ANTONIO SPURS radio voice BILL SCHOENING has been named the 2014 TEXAS SPORTSCASTER OF THE YEAR by the NATIONAL SPORTSCASTERS AND SPORTSWRITERS ASSOCIATION (NSSA). Schoening is now in his 14th season as the play-by-play voice of the SPURS on iHEARTMEDIA News/Sports/Talk WOAI-A (NEWS RADIO 1200)/SAN ANTONIO and is one of only nine radio announcers in the NBA with a solo broadcast.
  The NSSA annually names a sportscaster and sportswriter winner from each individual state. SCHOENING joins the AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATEMAN's KIRK BOHLS, who was named 2014 TEXAS SPORTWRITER OF THE YEAR.
