AEG Live To Produce Bumbershoot

AEG LIVE is partnering to produce SEATTLE's iconic BUMBERSHOOT arts festival. This partnership deal -- between AEG LIVE, ONE REEL and the CITY OF SEATTLE -- creates an exciting new collaboration for the 45th year of this beloved weekend music and arts festival.

“The BUMBERSHOOT festival is one of the premiere music and arts events in the entire country, and AEG is beyond excited to be a part of it,” says AEG LIVE ROCKY MOUNTAINS President/CEO CHUCK MORRIS. "For a company that is involved in COACHELLA, STAGECOACH and NEW ORLEANS JAZZ FEST -- to name a few -- to have the opportunity to be involved in another legendary festival, one that has been a jewel for the PACIFIC NORTHWEST for more than four decades, is a privilege.”

Booking for BUMBERSHOOT 2015 will begin immediately. Over the years, BUMEBERSHOOT -- traditionally held LABOR DAY weekend -- has hosted such renowned and varied acts as RAY CHARLES, SPINAL TAP, THE RAMONES, BECK, BOB DYLAN, R.E.M., B.B. KING, THE BLACK EYED PEAS, PATTI SMITH and ELVIS COSTELLO.

AEG LIVE PACIFIC NORTHWEST Regional VP ROB THOMAS recently moved to SEATTLE from the ROCKY MOUNTAIN office of AEG in DENVER, where he had been since 2008.  Prior to that, THOMAS was the GM of FILLMORE AUDITORIUM DENVER and started at the legendary FOX THEATRE in BOULDER. "We are honored to be part of the SEATTLE tradition of BUMBERSHOOT," said THOMAS.

AEG LIVE PACIFIC NORTHWEST VP Talent CHAD QUEIROLO is a NORTHWEST native who has been involved with the NW music community since the early '90s. He ran BLACKBOOKING, doing national tours for many bands on seminal NW labels such as SUBPOP, KILL ROCK STARS and K RECORDS, booked THE BREAKROOM, GRACELAND, I-SPY, and has booked THE SHOWBOX since 2000.

“For all of us that grew up here, summer is not over until we experience the music, art, and culture that this amazing festival brings to the city,” adds QUEIROLO.
